Nursery Manager and Nursery Practitioner

Location: Forest Gate E7

Salary:  £27,000 - £34,000 per year

Hours: 40 hours Monday to Friday

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking to recruit a candidate for a Manager position who would fit in to our very busy and highly demanding setting. The rewards are there for the applicable staff member. Qualifications must be Level 3 in Management Early Years or above.

The candidate must have at least 3 years as a Deputy Manager and encompass a range of early years skills as the expectations are high for the children.

• A good understanding of Birth to Five Matters along with the 21’st Century skills
• Experienced knowledge and understanding of the statutory Framework as well as being able to implement the planning which underpins the EYFS Curriculum as well as a pedagogical approach to support all staff to listening to the children’s voices.
• The ideal candidate will have high expectations for the children’s well being for them to achieve to their full potential within our setting. You must have excellent leadership and professional skills.
• · Good understanding of the ELG’s.

Nursery Practitioner

Passionate in Early Years children

• 2 years paid/unpaid full time working within Early Years with evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
• Ability to plan for the EYFS /curriculum
• Able to maintain records, and good practice at all times, and contribute to policy and practice
• Work on own initiative
• Demonstrate an understanding of the importance attached to treating information and matters relating to the work of the nursery as confidential matters.
• DBS is required for this position

Required Skills:

• Level 3 NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC or equivalent Childcare qualification or mature person wanting to retrain back to work. 
• Experience working in a Early Years setting
• Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Safeguarding Certification
