A Senior Assistant General Manager is being sought to join the leadership team of a contemporary Italian bar and all-day dining venue. The client is looking for an individual with charisma, confidence, and a genuine passion for hospitality-someone who can lead by example, inspire their team, and consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences.
In this pivotal role, the Senior Assistant General Manager will support the General Manager in driving the business forward. Responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations, managing large-scale events such as weddings, engaging with corporate clients, and ensuring every guest-whether local or visiting-leaves wanting to return.
Operating within an owner-led environment, the successful candidate will have both the platform and the autonomy to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading by example on the floor and behind the bar, ensuring the team delivers service that is warm, polished, and energetic.
- Stepping confidently into the role of General Manager when required, representing the venue, team, and brand with professionalism.
- Designing and implementing training programs that inspire and support team development, helping individuals reach their full potential.
- Maintaining high operational standards while keeping a strong focus on commercial performance, balancing revenue growth with exceptional service.
- Managing and overseeing events of all sizes-from corporate functions to weddings-ensuring each is executed flawlessly and leaves a lasting impression.
- Creating a team culture rooted in confident, welcoming hospitality, where every guest feels recognised, appreciated, and eager to return.

- An experienced leader from high-volume, guest-oriented operations, particularly those with multiple service areas or floors.
