Social Worker Children in Care Havering Council Pay up to £37.52 per hour 36 hours per week Locum Havering Council are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children in Care Team. This role focuses on providing high-quality support and care planning for children and young people in long-term placements, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. You ll hold a manageable caseload of up to 18 children, allowing you to focus on meaningful, relationship-based work. The position is office-based three days per week, with flexibility for remote working on other days. What You ll Be Doing: Managing a caseload of up to 18 children in care Completing care plans, court work, and permanency planning Undertaking direct work and life story work with children and young people Working collaboratively with foster carers, families, and multi-agency partners Ensuring that each child s plan reflects their needs, wishes, and long-term goals Preparing high-quality reports and evidence for court proceedings What You ll Need: Social Work England Registration Social Work Qualification Minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience in children s social care Experience in court work, care planning, and children in care services Strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills Working Arrangements: 36 hours per week 3 days per week in the office (hybrid working supported) Supportive management and supervision structure Pay and Benefits: Pay: up to £37.52 per ..... full job details .....
