Supply Desk is currently looking for a passionate and skilled Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Hertford. This full-time role is available from September, offering an excellent chance to inspire and support students in their mathematical learning journey.

The school is dedicated to fostering a positive and challenging learning environment where students are encouraged to develop confidence and competence in mathematics. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching Maths and committed to helping all pupils achieve their potential.

Job Description:

• Plan, deliver, and assess effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, aligned with the National Curriculum.
• Differentiate lessons to cater for a range of abilities, including pupils with SEND and EAL.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to engage and motivate students.
• Track student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback to support learning.
• Manage behaviour to maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Maths department to share best practice and develop resources.
• Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding student progress and achievements.
• Participate fully in school life, including meetings, training, and extracurricular activities.

Our Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Have experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 andamp; KS4).
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths education.
• Be skilled in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a growth mindset.
• Use assessment data effectively to drive student progress.
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Be flexible, collaborative, and eager to contribute to school development.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a clear Enhanced DBS check.
