About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and committed Maths Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Leighton Buzzard. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to inspire and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Maths lessons that meet the needs of all learners

• 
  

  Support students in achieving academic progress through high-quality teaching and targeted interventions

• 
  

  Contribute to the development of schemes of work and the Maths departmentandrsquo;s wider curriculum

• 
  

  Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress regularly

• 
  

  Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to support learning and well-being

• 
  

  Participate in departmental meetings, whole-school training, and extra-curricular activities

• 
  

  Create a safe and supportive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and effort

Candidate Requirements

• 
  

  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• 
  

  Degree in Mathematics or a related subject

• 
  

  Proven classroom teaching experience, ideally within UK secondary schools

• 
  

  Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Maths

• 
  

  Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities

• 
  

  Excellent communication and organisational skills

• 
  

  A commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working
