Supply Desk is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Rickmansworth from September. This is a full-time teaching position, ideal for a qualified Maths specialist who is passionate about delivering high-quality education and inspiring students to excel in mathematics.

Job Description:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
• Track and assess student progress using a variety of assessment tools and provide targeted feedback.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes high achievement and a love of Maths.
• Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, intervention sessions, or department initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Maths department and across the school to develop innovative resources and teaching strategies.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline, promoting mutual respect and a positive attitude to learning.
• Participate in departmental meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school events as a valued team member.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching Maths in UK secondary schools.
• Be confident in delivering Maths up to GCSE level (A-Level is a bonus).
• Have excellent subject knowledge and a clear understanding of the Maths curriculum.
• Be committed to raising student achievement through innovative teaching practices and high expectations.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and the ability to motivate and challenge learners of all abilities.
• Be a team player with excellent communication skills and a willingness to contribute to school life.
• Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
