– PermanentSalary: Up to £30,000 per yearLocation: RemoteEmployment type: PermanentA leading environmental organisation is seeking a Data Protection Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis. The role will be working within their compliance team to ensure the integrity of stakeholder data is protected.Key Responsibilities

Act as a key point of contact for data protection matters across the organisation, offering clear, approachable guidance to teams and individuals.Promote best practice in data protection and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, particularly the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.Collaborate with internal teams to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal data held by the organisation.Monitor and respond to changes in data protection legislation and regulatory guidance, updating internal policies and processes accordingly.Support the review, development, and implementation of data protection policies, procedures, and training materials.Assist in the management and resolution of data protection queries, incidents, and potential breaches, ensuring thorough investigation and appropriate mitigation.Maintain accurate records of processing activities and support ongoing compliance monitoring across departments.Provide support and guidance for data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), ensuring risks are identified and appropriately managed.Help ensure data subject rights requests are handled in a timely and compliant manner, including access, erasure, and rectification requests.Work closely with teams using or developing databases to ensure systems meet security and compliance standards.Contribute to raising awareness of data protection obligations across the organisation through training, advice, and day-to-day support.Support ongoing internal audits or reviews related to data protection and information governance.Experience and Qualifications

Solid understanding of data protection principles and relevant UK legislation, including GDPR.
