Associate Consultant – Data Protection

Overview
Associate Consultant – Data Protection role within the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team at FSP. You will provide privacy and data protection advisory support for consulting engagements and contribute to delivering complex privacy programmes.Responsibilities
Support data privacy consulting engagements, ensuring compliance with UK and EU GDPR, and other relevant regulationsAssist with the implementation of data protection programmes for clientsProvide advice on privacy and data protection queries, the application of data protection requirements, and privacy risk managementSupport clients on data protection issues, including incident management, data subject access requests and ICO investigationsDraft documentation to support client data protection governance frameworks, including policies, processes, records of processing etcSupport on conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for clientsResearch and evaluate third party security, data protection and privacy capabilities and controls within existing client servicesContribute to the development of new and innovative solutions to protect ourselves and our customersProactively maintain your training and stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory, industry and technology developmentsSupport the development of GRC templates and training materials, and the development of the data protection governance framework within FSPAbout you
Previous work experience working in data protection and/or privacy environmentUnderstanding of data protection regulations and their requirementsDemonstrable research, communication and presentational skillsProven ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards deadlinesPassion for regulation and technologyHave the right to work in the UK and eligible for UK security clearanceHold relevant certifications e.g. CIPP/E, BCS Foundation Certificate in Data Protection or equivalent (desirable)Knowledge and experience of the following would be advantageous
Hold other data protection certifications e.g. CIPP/M, CIPP/T, GDPR PractitionerPrevious experience of working on privacy, data protection, GRC or security projects or programmesPrevious experience in consultancyHave knowledge and experience of GRC and information securityWhat we look for in our people
