Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

OverviewHighly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist — Whittington Health. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated SLT to join our large team which includes specialists in many clinical areas. You will gain new skills, experiences and support Haringey and Barnet children and young people, their families, and schools. We have a strong focus on working with families and achieving the best outcomes for the children and young people.
Role detailsThe role is a 10 month fixed term, Band 5-6 run through. We welcome applications from current Band 5 or 6 SLTs with experience working in early years clinics or mainstream schools. Additional support and training will be offered for less experienced therapists. If applicant begins role on a Band 5 grade, once skills, experience and competencies are achieved, the post can progress to band 6 pay levels.

Responsibilities
The post holders would form part of the Speech and Language Therapy Teams in Barnet, providing assessment, differential diagnosis, advice to children with speech, language and communication difficulties. The caseload would be a range of children in Early Years and/or Mainstream Schools depending on experience.
Qualifications and experience
The post holder should have knowledge and experience of the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of developmental language disorder and social communication difficulties.
In addition the post holder should be knowledgeable and experienced in assessing, treating and managing children and young people who have associated syndromes or special educational needs which interact with their language development.
