Paralegal - Motor Volume

Overview
Paralegal - Motor Volume role at DWF. The Motor Volume team acts for a variety of high-profile insurer companies and defends a wide range of litigated claims arising from Road Traffic Accidents (RTA), including Small Claims, Fast Track and MOJ Stage 3 cases. The role provides responsibility and progression of a Motor Insurance (defendant) litigated caseload to a satisfactory conclusion for clients, while ensuring high levels of service delivery and management information under the client\''s service level agreements (SLAs). The role is hybrid, with office attendance required in Leeds or Manchester 2-3 days per week.Responsibilities
To proactively manage and progress a complex litigated caseload of Motor Defendant Insurance cases to conclusion in line with CPR rules and proceduresTo apply the specific technical principles needed to drive proactive settlement of the case while adding value for the clientWork cases in line with all client SLAs for the files within your responsibilityProactively use case management systems to improve speed of settlement and add value to the cases, while adhering to client requirementsIdentify any cases which may require further investigation surrounding Fraud indicatorsPrioritise and organise your work efficiently to ensure all tasks are completed to deadlinesWhat will help you succeed in this role?
EssentialInterest in Motor Insurance cases, preferably with experience running a caseloadAbility to prioritise and manage multiple tasksExcellent attention to detail to analyse files and dataAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesBusiness acumen and understanding of client needsComputer literate, including proficient use of Microsoft OfficeDesirableExperience running a more complex Motor Insurance Litigated Caseload with knowledge of MOJ, Small Track process, and ability to assess liability and quantumUnderstanding of the wider Motor personal Injury market in terms of trends, strengths, weaknesses and opportunitiesExperience with Visual Files case management systemWhat we offer
