The Insurance Principal Architect is a hands-on, execution focused role helping translate the Insurance strategy, define architecture, and deliver the solution. In this role you will have an understanding of our Insurance systems and processes, and function as an Insurance architecture subject matter expert for our various projects.DISCOVER your opportunityWhat will your essential responsibilities include?Understanding of AXA XL’s existing architectureUnderstand user requirements (desired output and outcome) and existing environments (current state), and translate these into an architecture and road mapCollaborate with customers, analysts, other architects, modelers, developers, testers, partners and vendorsGuide the full lifecycle of a Solution, including: understanding business capabilities, translating to technical capabilities, designing architecture, assisting in defining non-functional requirements, documenting interactions, assisting in cost estimation, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance, assessing vendor tools, demonstrating tools, leading reviews, and creating feedback loops.Present architecture decisions, educate others, and share best practicesDocument costs and performance metrics, and participate in defining architecture principles and engaging with vendors and industry expertsYou will report to the Head of Insurance Architecture.Bachelor''s Degree or equivalentLine management responsibility for APAC and Europe, UK and Lloyd''s solution architecture teamAuthority and accountability in domain architecture for Rate Quote Bind, Underwriting, Claims, and Risk Consulting, with self-supervisionAct as a strategic advisor, evaluate technology products, influence senior management, and contribute to strategic developmentProvide technical training and guidance, possess broad insurance and architecture expertise, and communicate effectively across business linesNavigate business dynamics, demonstrate excellent communication, organizational skills, problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure and in diverse, global teamsKnowledge of Agile, SCRUM, Continuous Delivery, and understanding of cultural differencesHands-on experience with architecting and tuning insurance products and services, Salesforce, Azure, containers, databases, messaging, microservices, integration, security, etc.FIND your futureAXA XL, part of AXA, is known for solving complex risks and providing innovative re/insurance solutions for various clients, driven by technology, data, and talent in an inclusive workspace.
