The Digital Innovation team isworking with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG)and 27 partner Councils and leading on the development of the next generationof software to simplify and improve the planning application process for allinvolved.We work with our partners in acollaborative and open environment using genuinely agile software developmentprocesses. Our projects and decision making are data and evidence based andinvolve the collection and analysis of large amounts of information.About the Role
We are looking for a talentedindividual with a passion for digital solutions to be the Council’s main leadon the Back Office Planning System (BOPS) project. This project aims to usedigital technology to simplify and automate planning assessments for Councilofficers.The successful candidate will alsosupport the Digital Planning Lead on other digital innovation programmes thatthe Council is involved with, including PlanX, Digital Site Notices projectsand Building Control discovery.The role provides the perfectopportunity for you to progress your career on a range of exciting digitalplanning projects that will have a meaningful impact on the way Lambeth andEngland manage town planning and other local government processes.Your workload will includedeveloping metrics bespoke to the Digital Site Notices, PlanX and BOPSprojects, and collecting, classifying and analysing large amounts of data.You will provide support to seniorofficers and use your professional judgement to make reasoned and consideredrecommendations on complex matters and present these to the Digital Innovationteam and senior management as required.*The Market Supplementwill be subject to review.Equality Statement
