Product ControllerCity Hedge Fund

£250 - 300 per day (Umbrella)Market leading Hedge Fund has an immediate opportunity.We are seeking a Finance Team Member to join our dynamic organization. In this role, you will be a crucial part of the Finance team, responsible for managing trading portfolio accounting tasks, daily PandL reporting, preparing accruals and prepayments schedules, posting journals, and assisting with the preparation of management accounts for trading entities. Additionally, you will contribute to team results by participating in various development projects.This position offers a unique opportunity for capable professionals to expand their product control and accounting knowledge while gaining exposure to diverse areas of the business. You will receive comprehensive support from an established team and enjoy a high level of autonomy. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should possess:

1-2 years of product control experienceStrong desire to learn and progressAdvanced numerical skillsExcellent attention to detailKey Responsibilities

Produce and validate daily trading PandLs/NAVsManage portfolio pricingCapture all trading-related feesAssist with month-end processes for trading portfolios and entitiesSupport tax analysis and reporting for trading activitiesContribute to the audit cycle(s)Prepare and maintain accruals and prepayments schedulesAssist in the preparation of management accountsImprove processes and controlsRequirements

Understanding (and eagerness to learn more) of core liquid products and their trading mechanisms, including cash equities, equity swaps, FX (spot, forwards, futures, options), listed equity options, bonds, futures, ETFs, and ADRsStrong numeracy skillsExcellent communication abilitiesProficiency in ExcelMeticulous attention to detailEffective time management and prioritization skillsAbility to work comfortably in a high-pressure environmentStrong analytical skills for identifying and investigating variances and flagging issuesFlexibility to handle additional queries and ad hoc projectsExcellent work environment and Team spirit.Seniority level
