Sous Chef
to join the team at
Thurlestone Hotel and Spa
working in the 2 AA Rosette
Trevilder Restaurant .
Live in accommodation is available for up to 3 months
in our fully refurbished staff house just 10 minutes walk from the hotel.Thurlestone Hotel and Spa
is a luxury, family-owned, 4-star 65-bedroom hotel situated on the spectacular South Devon coast. Our 2 AA Rosette Trevilder Restaurant serves breakfast and dinner daily to our hotel residents, offering a locally sourced TDH menu with daily specials. We also offer lunches in the hotels Terrace Bar and poolside Rockpool bistro and afternoon teas in the lounges.We are looking for is someone who will show the same commitment and passion that all our chefs do and buy in to the work-ethic they have as a team.Responsibilities
To assist in managing the kitchen and assume full responsibility in the absence of the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef.To lead by example and implement all procedures (HACCP, Health and Safety, COSHH and Food Safety Management) to the required standards to which training has been received.To help manage all team members to ensure productivity and complete organisation within the kitchen.To motivate and promote positive behaviour within the team.To communicate effectively within the kitchen and other departments.To assist in creating new dishes and evolving the menu development.To help control kitchen costs and achieve the set budgets, including staff costs and food costs.Benefits
