We oversee fine dining in
29 private dining rooms , and an events space that caters up to
1700 pax . We have full autonomy across our seasonal brochures from breakfast to a la carte lunch to canapes, so this a real opportunity to bring your own flare and touch to our dishes and make the offering your own.We are a leading business in the catering industry, known for our innovative and obsessed approach, exceptional service, and authentic and delicious culinary offerings. Our team is passionate about food and dedicated to providing top-notch service.Responsibilities
To take full responsibility and ownership of the Conference Centre kitchen with all food production preparation, cooking and presentation, ensuring the reputation of food quality is always maintained.To be involved with the writing of our Brochure, bringing innovation and by trending foods and ingredients. Actively take part in menu engineering alongside the senior Chefs in Hospitality.To cross skill in our Fine Dining kitchen and assist with covering in the absence of any of the senior Chefs in Hospitality.Be responsible for all Health and Safety due diligence to ensure that paperwork is completed, accurate and filed as necessary.To communicate with our Purchasing team to ensure orders are placed in a timely fashion.To ensure food production, standards, costs and menu planning are carried out in a timely fashion, as agreed with the Head Chefs.Being client focused at all times by being visible during service periods, approachable and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling client needs.To be influential with innovative ideas to expand our operation, our offering and our space.To carry out the smooth and efficient running of the section as appropriate, planning, preparing and presenting food to the expected standards of WSH and our clients.To be able to keep calm under pressure and communicate effectively with team to deliver a service.Qualifications
Proven experience working as a Sous Chef or similar roleExperience with large events/conferencing of 500+ paxStrong communication and teamwork abilities, be able to lead the brigade of chefs dedicated to the Conference Centre and be influential with mentoring and inspiring the kitchen teamProficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)NVQ qualification or equivalentStrong knowledge of allergy managementFood Safety and Hygiene certificationAbility to be flexible to the demands of our service, and be used to dealing with last minute requestsExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsPassion for food, and innovative with new ideasAdditional Information
