GSL Education are currently looking for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant tojoin schools across Sheffield. Whether you seek long-term stability or flexible daily roles, this opportunity allows you to make a positive impact on young learners’ development. As a TA, you will collaborate closely with class teachers, supporting student learning and classroom management through one-to-one support and leading small group activities.

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant (TA):

• Assist learners across a range of subjects and diverse abilities.
• Support teachers in lesson planning, preparation, and delivery.
• Deliver one-to-one or small group interventions as required.
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for learning.
• Aid in managing classroom behaviour following school guidelines.
• Participate in monitoring student progress and providing feedback.

Requirements for Teaching Assistant (TA):

• Previous experience supporting children or young people in a school or educational environment is preferable.
• A positive, patient, and flexible approach to work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
• An up-to-date CV detailing the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gap.
