GSL Education are seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about working with young learners and supporting their academic, emotional, and social development.
Key Responsibilities for the Primary TA:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils with additional needs, including those with EHCPs.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Promote good behaviour and positive learning attitudes.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with primary-aged children (school-based or voluntary).
- A caring, patient, and proactive attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to different needs and work collaboratively with school staff.
- A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
