Deputy Head of Engineering – Location: Yorkshire. Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum. Contract: Full-Time, Permanent. Annual Leave: 44 days + 8 bank holidays. Pension: Teachers\'' Pension Scheme.What You\''ll Be Doing

Supporting the strategic planning and development of the Engineering curriculum in line with learner needs and industry demandsLeading and managing a team of educators to ensure consistent high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment practicesFostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement through effective staff development and CPD that meets current industry standardsPlaying a key role in the quality improvement cycle - monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing curriculum delivery to meet all awarding body standardsLeading initiatives that improve retention, achievement, success, and attendance rates across learner groupsSupervising and managing staff performance, setting clear expectations and delivering consistent feedbackWhat You\''ll Need

A recognised PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualification)A Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in an Engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Fabrication and Welding)A proven track record in managing or supervising staff within an educational settingA strong ability to develop and deliver strategies to improve key performance indicators (KPIs) including learner retention, achievement, and attendanceA deep commitment to maintaining high standards and supporting learners to achieve their very bestWhat We Offer
