We’re currently partnering with a high-performing FMCG business based in Milton Keynes to recruit a Tax Manager to join their well-established finance function.This is a broad and hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of all UK tax obligations, including VAT, Corporation Tax, Digital Services Tax, and other applicable taxes. Reporting directly to the Tax Director, you’ll act as the go-to subject matter expert on tax for both internal and external stakeholders.You’ll also play a key role in shaping and strengthening tax compliance controls and processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across the UK business.Key Responsibilities:Preparation and submission of all UK tax returns (VAT, Corporation Tax, Digital Services Tax, etc.)Provide accurate cash forecasts for tax paymentsEnsure compliance with Office for National Statistics returnsOversee tax computations within statutory accountsLiaise with internal/external auditors and manage VAT auditsSupport the delivery of accurate tax-related balance sheet reconciliationsDeliver tax data and insights to the board and senior leadershipAct as a trusted advisor for internal/external tax queriesLead on tax elements of MandA activityIdentify and implement process improvements across tax reportingStay current on tax legislation, translating impacts to business leaders through training and insightsSupport tax planning initiatives and contribute to finance control reviewsCandidate Profile:Qualified CTA, ACA, or ACCA accountantProven experience in a similar Tax Manager or senior tax roleStrong technical knowledge of UK tax legislationConfident communicator with strong stakeholder management skillsExcellent Excel skills and systems knowledgeExperience working within or with auditors is advantageousA naturally inquisitive mindset – keen to challenge, improve and add valueThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a commercially successful, fast-paced organisation in a pivotal tax role with real influence and visibility.If you''re ready to take ownership, drive improvements, and be the subject matter expert in a supportive and growing environment – please apply!Seniority level
