As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, your day will involve engaging interactions with suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met and foster strong relationships with our suppliers.How You''ll Make an Impact
Lead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers - Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs)Contain, manage, and resolve quality issues relating to supplier non-conforming components identified at our clients'' assembly facilities, warehouses, or customers globallyManage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issuesAssist with process improvementsLead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution processInvestigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuityIdentify and support cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategic BusinessAudit existing and potential suppliers to determine manufacturing capability and ensure quality systems are in placeDevelop supplier capability to meet current and future requirementsInteract with customer-facing businesses to investigate potential product non-conformances, manufacturing development, and improvement via regular in-person presence at supplier sitesWhat You Bring
Required: Technical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineeringFamiliarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM), and Quality Control routinesComprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processesKnowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturableProven ability to manage multiple problem investigations simultaneouslySelf-motivated attitude and ownership of projectsAbility to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to endKnowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capabilityExperience working with or at manufacturing facilitiesExperience working with critical parts (e.g., disc, shaft, complex assemblies)Preferred
Proven track record of applying quality improvement processes and tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)SAP experienceWorking Requirements
