Role: Supplier Quality EngineerLocation: WarwickStart Date: ASAPDuration: 12 months +Rate: 35- 55 P/hr Umbrella DOEA Snapshot of Your DayAs a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, your day will be filled with engaging interactions with suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement. You''ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met, while fostering strong relationships with our clients suppliers.How You''ll Make an ImpactLead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers - Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs)Contain, manage and resolve Quality issues relating to supplier non-conforming components identified at our clients assembly facilities, warehouses or customers globally.Manage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues.Assist with process improvements.Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution process.Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity.Identify and support cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategic BusinessAudit existing and potential suppliers to determine capability of manufacturing and ensure quality systems are in place.Develop supplier capability to meet current and future requirementsInteract with customer-facing businesses to investigate potential product non-conformancesProduct manufacturing development and improvement via regular in person presence at supplier sitesWhat You BringRequired:Technical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineeringFamiliarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM) and Quality Control routines.Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processesKnowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable.Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously.Self-motivated attitude and ownership of projectsAbility to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end.Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability.Experience working with or at manufacturing facilitiesExperience working with critical parts .
