A new opportunity is available for a Site Manager to join a growing main contractor, where you would have lead responsibility for a portfolio of projects. The role will be to work closely with one of their key clients on a series of projects across the Northeast region delivering industrial / commercial newbuild, shed type projects with associated civils and hard landscaping, values c£2 3m. The initial project would be in the Consett area, for a 6 mths period, and then move onto 3 other locations which are due to follow on from each other. Therefore, those candidates who are available for a start in mid to late July and fit the following criteria would be encouraged to apply. Have a proven track record operating as a no.1 site manager on similar newbuild industrial schemes. Have strong technical knowledge and capability in the areas of newbuild construction, structural steel buildings and civils works associated with brownfield construction including drainage and access. Be a strong communicator at all levels, with the onsite construction team, sub-contractors, and client. Ability to manage programme and amend as necessary. Ability to manage commercial aspects with the assistance of a project QS. Hold valid site certification including CSCS, First Aid and SMSTS.
