Programme Planning Manager

OverviewLondon Gatwick offers an exciting opportunity for a Programme Planning Manager (Operations) to join our dynamic team at the world''s most efficient single runway airport.
Be a part of shaping our future, supporting the delivery of a substantial investment plan to develop and enhance our airport infrastructure and facilities. You''ll work closely with the Programme Manager to achieve the strategic aims and objectives of the business, developing, implementing, and delivering effective planning and assurance processes across a programme of projects typically to £50m in value.
What is the role?Reporting to the Lead Planning Manager, you''ll take a key role in leading the planning of projects across all stages of their lifecycle, from concept approval to delivery and closeout. Your mission is to ensure performance targets are not just met but surpassed consistently and on time.
Responsibilities
Creating and maintaining schedules for the entire project journey, including internal and external interfaces. Manage control programmes from concept to closeout, assess contract programmes, evaluate compensation events, conduct delay analysis, and drive schedule improvements through to the supply chain.
Lead and manage planning teams across the programme, applying knowledge and skills across multiple projects to support strategic goals.
Support team development by contributing to standards, coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
Review the Programme, assist in trend and change processes, reporting, risk management, and seek efficiencies to positively affect outcomes and team performance.
Continuously develop and uphold world-class health, safety, and environmental standards across the programme and its contractors.

Previous experience planning infrastructure projects as a Senior Planner on multi-year programmes within the construction or infrastructure sectors, on projects/programmes typically worth more than £50 million.
Previous experience leading small teams.
Extensive experience with Primavera P6 and related commercial acumen.
Demonstrable experience in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders to explain complex or abstract ideas clearly.
Proven leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, facilitate, and create learning opportunities for others.
