We are seeking an experienced Solicitor to lead and manage our Housing department, focusing on Housing and Fire Safety Law. This role offers a hybrid working model and the opportunity to work on meaningful and challenging cases.Day-to-day of the role:Report to the Director with updates and developments on cases.Conduct initial client interviews, take detailed instructions, and provide clear, compassionate advice.Manage a diverse caseload including homelessness, disrepair, eviction, possession, property ownership disputes, and neighbourhood issues.Represent clients in court, tribunals, and public inquiries, performing advocacy as needed.Draft high-quality legal documents and engage with public bodies and third-sector organisations.Supervise and quality-check the work of junior solicitors and paralegals.Drive the strategic expansion of the Housing Department and contribute to business development.Required Skills and Qualifications:Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with at least 5 years PQE in Housing Law.Proven experience handling LAA-funded housing matters and meeting billing targets.Strong understanding of housing law and excellent advocacy skills.Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently, ensuring compliance ..... full job details .....
