Job title: Head of People, Learning and DevelopmentLocation: Sunderland SR5 (Hybrid after Probation)Contract Type: PermanentWeekly Hours: 37 hours per weekSalary: £55,000 - £60,000Job Purpose As Head of People, Learning and Development, you will provide strategic leadership across people, culture and organisational capability. You will ensure the business has the workforce structure, leadership capability and learning framework required to deliver its growth objectives. Operating at Director and Board level, you will translate strategy into practical people initiatives, driving performance, succession and organisational resilience.Key Responsibilities:People and CultureLead and deliver the People Strategy aligned to business objectivesEmbed a high-performing, values-led and inclusive cultureAct as trusted adviser to Directors and senior leadersChair the People Working GroupOversee engagement, wellbeing and EDI initiativesLearning and DevelopmentDevelop and implement the LandD strategyOwn performance management and development frameworksLead leadership and management development activityIdentify capability gaps and future workforce needsSupport early careers and structured development pathwaysAlign development routes with professional bodies (RICS, APM, CIPD)Manage LandD and recruitment budgetsWorkforce Planning and OrganisationLead workforce and succession planningSupport organisational design aligned to growthOversee recruitment strategy and senior hiresChair quarterly ..... full job details .....
