The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and inspiring Teacher of Geography to join a progressive school in Waltham Forest. We are looking for an individual passionate about the world's physical and human environments, who can foster deep intellectual curiosity and critical understanding of global issues in our students.

The Role You will be responsible for teaching Geography across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and potentially Key Stage 5 (A-Level). Your responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that cover both physical and human geography, promoting fieldwork, data analysis, and critical thinking. You'll contribute to the development of dynamic schemes of work, rigorously assess student progress, and participate in extracurricular activities such as geographical clubs or educational trips, enriching the student experience and connecting them to the local and global environment.

The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and creative Geography specialist with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes in Geography. You'll possess outstanding subject knowledge, exceptional classroom management skills, and a genuine commitment to continuous professional development. Experience with GIS or other geographical technologies is desirable, but a strong passion for the subject and its relevance to contemporary issues is paramount.
