Opportunities have arisen for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join Richmond and Wandsworth Councils enablement service. We aim to promote independence for the residents, to improve health and overall wellbeing.The enablement team offers short term 6 weeks care receiving referrals from the community, social work teams and hospitals.We are a creative, dynamic and supportive team and are looking for Occupational Therapists who are committed to the same high standards of practice. About the role As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be required to: Supervise Occupational Therapists within the team including attending joint visits. You will need to allocate cases to the team and take on management responsibilities for junior members of the team. You will not be case holding within this role. Attend multidisciplinary team meetings with key stakeholders to coordinate care around complex health and care needs. Collaborate with care agencies work in partnership with residents, their families, and carers to enable them to identify their strengths, maximise their functional independence and well-being, cope with change, attain outcomes they want and need and understand and manage risk in activities of daily living.
