About the roleAs we develop and grow our business, we are excited to be expanding our team to maintain the quality of work and services on which we pride ourselves. We are looking to hire a full time Head of Marketing Communications to support and lead our communications business – making it perfect for someone who has a growth mindset to learn and apply to new challenges. As part of this role, you will develop recommendations on enhancing Koodoo’s service offering to further differentiate ourselves and continue to improve the value we bring to our customers.

Key responsibilities
Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team including Communications Directors, Graphic Designers, Marketing Managers, Digital Communications Lead and Marketing Executives.
Manage and oversee third-party suppliers and freelancers, ensuring high-quality outputs, value for money, and full compliance with internal processes and brand standards.
Own and drive the client experience across all communications touchpoints, ensuring retention of existing clients and securing new business opportunities.
Develop and implement robust communications and marketing processes that enhance customer experience, including consistent reporting, effective budget management, and quality control.
Take an active, hands-on role in the delivery of strategic and high-profile client projects – this is both a leadership and delivery role.
Act as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to business strategy, planning, and performance.
Be fully accountable for communications team performance, growth targets, quality standards, and client satisfaction.
Drive integration of digital, creative, and strategic communications across all client workstreams.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including supporting proposal development, pitch delivery, and strategic relationship-building.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform agency positioning and service evolution.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the communications team and Koodoo as a whole.
About you
Minimum of 10 years’ experience of working in a marketing communications agency
Proactive, energetic and able to work both independently and within a team
Balance of creative and analytical skills
A strong leader and communicator – written and oral
Able to form constructive relationships with a diversity of people, both internally and externally
Strong attention to detail and committed to delivering accurate work on time
Growth mindset and able to learn quickly

Hybrid position with a minimum expectation of 2 days per week onsite at our Kingston upon Thames office
