Quantity Surveyor Salary: 60,000 - 65,000 Location: EssexOverview We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a busy commercial team responsible for managing costs across Capital Projects and Repair and Maintenance works. You will play a crucial role in maintaining positive cash flow, ensuring commercial accuracy, and producing high-quality financial and contractual documentation for both clients and the supply chain. This position requires strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with residents, contractors, client representatives, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Commercial and Financial ManagementManage Capital Works projects from tender award through to final account, ensuring the organisation is not commercially exposed.Prepare accurate quotations, support tender processes, and assist with project administration where required.Monitor and maintain cash flow, including resolving payment issues and chasing outstanding certificates/monies.Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), forecasts, and financial reports within required timeframes.Comply with all financial controls and reporting requirements.Prepare and submit monthly client applications, agree valuations, and finalise accounts.Develop rates for non-standard items where required.Subcontractor and Supply Chain ManagementProcure subcontractors and prepare subcontract orders, ensuring all supporting contractual documentation ..... full job details .....
