There is an exciting permanent opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic full-time Senior Healthcare Worker to join our experienced multi-disciplinary team on the Rosewood Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) in Dartford. The successful candidates will work within the MBU as a valued member of the team, providing high-quality nursing care for mothers experiencing acute perinatal mental health issues and their babies. The Senior Healthcare Worker is a key member of the care team with the following responsibilities:Deliver effective and competent care under limited supervision, according to the mother’s care plan.Supervise Healthcare Workers and Apprentice Healthcare Workers, providing guidance and training.Be fully aware of the needs of the mother over a 24-hour period.Act as a role model to colleagues and mothers.Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure workplace, adhering to relevant health and safety regulations and trust policies.This role involves shift work covering 24 hours, 7 days a week. Responsibilities include accurate record-keeping in the electronic patient record system, promoting mothers’ independence, supporting physical health checks, assisting with personal hygiene, and supporting therapeutic activities. The role also involves escorting mothers to appointments, leading specific ward activities, serving food and drinks, and undertaking relevant training and supervision.We are an equal opportunities employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
