Role Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Underwriter to lead the expansion of a profitable portfolio while maintaining strong relationships with insurers and brokers. This role involves underwriting responsibilities and business development with a focus on Property, Casualty, and Development lines.

Key Responsibilities:Build and sustain special relationships with existing brokers and retail customers, while targeting new brokers through effective marketing of current productsEnsure professional service delivery of new business and renewals to meet company income targets in line with regulatory requirements and internal proceduresAssist in converting renewals and new business opportunitiesCollaborate on actions involving brokers, policyholders, and capacity providersShare expertise with fellow team members and provide support where necessaryResolve enquiries, credit control issues, and problems efficiently to foster positive broker relationshipsSeek and respond to customer feedback proactivelyMitigate and address conflicts of interest effectivelySupport business unit key performance indicators and targets as directedComply with regulatory requirements, including the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, FCA regulations, and internal company policiesQualifications and Skills:Proven track record in underwriting with expertise in Property, Casualty, and Development linesStrong relationship management skills to build and maintain effective partnerships with brokers and retail customersProficient in using electronic file management systems (e.g., Acturis/SchemeServe)Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including FCA Code of Conduct (COCON)Commitment to ethical behavior and treating customers fairlyDedication to ongoing professional training and developmentVisit the IDEX Consulting Ltd website for further opportunities.
