This Executive Director will lead franchise programs and will be the clinical group leader for the ongoing and planned development of the compounds within this Eisai franchise. The incumbent will have responsibility and accountability for the clinical development plans of the respective compounds as well as the clinical execution and oversight of the associated studies being conducted globally. The Executive Director will champion transformational business changes that deliver sustainable long-term outcomes, cultivating partnerships with key internal stakeholders and creating clinical and scientific synergies at Eisai. Additionally, the Executive Director will be working with external key opinion leaders, advisors as well as US and EU regulatory bodies in order to conduct Phase I, Phase II and Phase III studies, and prepare related documentation for submissions.Travel percentage: Approximately 20-30%, domestic and internationally.What are we looking for?MD, oncology board certified, medically trained with significant clinical research experience in academia or industry(OR) PhD/PharmD in relevant scientific discipline with significant industry experience in relevant technical field and/or clinical research experience in industry.(OR) a combination of equivalent education and experience.Significant pharmaceutical industry clinical development experience (in oncology with knowledge of translational, Phase I, II, and III studies.Proven success driving clinical research strategies, designing and providing oversight of clinical programs.Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, vendor management, budget planning and resource management.Demonstrated track record as Study Director (or equivalent role) with Global Clinical Lead or Clinical Program Director accountability.Proven experience in running clinical studies with an understanding of Clinical Operations and Data Management preferred.Significant experience working with FDA and/or EMEA regulatory agencies handling responses to inquiries and requests for study related information.Strong knowledge base of the drug development process.Deep knowledge of the specific therapeutic area.Proven track record of clinical/project leadership in a matrix environment leading and directing clinical research teams in a leadership capacity.Proven performance in earlier role including strategic oversight, people management, and strategic stakeholder management across levels internally and externally.What we offer in returnEisai offers a competitive salary and excellent wider benefits package that includes,Hybrid working (Depending on role)Car/Car Allowance (Depending on role)Electric charging points for Electric/Hybrid vehiclesDiscretionary BonusFree onsite parkingSubsidised onsite restaurant and coffee shopLearning and development opportunitiesWell-being and mental health awareness programmesMulti-faith prayer roomYou will also be based out of our excellent EMEA Knowledge Centre (EKC) facility, which is our EU Headquarters, and offers an inclusive, and collaborative working environment.What you need to do nextIf you are interested in this position, please click ‘apply now’ at the top of this advert.
