We are an Independent Special Needs day school for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, Autistic Spectrum disorder and other complex needs. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and are placed by a wide range of local authorities. Typically, the pupils placed at our school have had significantly disrupted educational journeys.
Our work at Southover is underpinned by the principles of Attachment Theory. We follow a small school model because we believe it delivers the best outcomes for our students. This means each school community gets to deeply know and understand its students and gives them the opportunity to be more directly involved in their own education.

This role may suit those looking to work a shorter day as our core work day is 9am-3pm. There will be some extended days for CPD training, advance notice is given.
