The Role We''re looking for an experienced and dynamic Bars Manager to lead and oversee our three bar spaces: Venue 1, Venue 2, and The Thirsty Scholar.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires someone who''s passionate about customer service, operations excellence, and team development in a fast-paced, live events environment.
You''ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of all bars operations, stock and cellar management, licensing compliance, staff leadership, and budget performance — all while ensuring our customers have a world-class experience.
Key Responsibilities Manage and inspire a high-performing bars team (including supervisors, baristas, and casual staff) Oversee smooth bar operations before, during, and after events Lead on stock control, supplier management, and accurate reporting via EPOS Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and licensing compliance Collaborate with event teams to ensure seamless venue and show management Drive revenue through product innovation, promotions, and excellent service Support marketing, sales, and private hire efforts across all bar spaces About You We''re looking for someone who is: ? An experienced manager of bars or venues ? A confident team leader with a hands-on approach ? A skilled multitasker able to thrive under pressure ? Passionate about customer service and hospitality ? A Personal License holder (essential) ? Knowledgeable in stock control, finance, EPOS systems, and HandS legislation ? Comfortable with late night and weekend work, and flexible with schedules ?
