Overview

A leading U.S. law firm with a strong London presence is seeking a Senior Tax Lawyer to join the London team as either a Senior Associate or Counsel, depending on experience. This is a direct requirement, reflecting the team''s growing pipeline of complex, cross-border transactional work. The successful candidate will be UK-qualified with at least 7 years'' PQE, ideally gained at a leading US or Magic Circle firm.Role and Responsibilities

This is a transactional-only role (no disputes) advising across all practice areas, with a strong focus on finance-related transactions. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in London, Europe, and New York on a variety of complex, multi-jurisdictional matters, including:Financial Restructuring

— Cross-border restructuring transactions.Credit Funds and Structured Finance

— Structured credit, securitisation, and leveraged finance.Joint Ventures and Corporate Transactions

— Joint venture structures and other corporate arrangements.Pan-European and Transatlantic Transactions

— Collaboration with New York on cross-border mandates.This is a busy, high-performing team with typical annual billables around 2,000 hours. Candidates should bring strong technical ability, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset, as character and cultural fit are highly valued.Requirements

UK-qualified lawyer with

7+ PQE

in tax law from a leading US, Magic Circle, or top-tier international firm.Significant experience in

finance-heavy transactional tax work , including restructuring, leveraged finance, securitisation, and structured credit.Comfortable on

complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions

and collaborating across offices and practice areas.Excellent

technical and analytical skills , with the ability to manage a busy workload under pressure.Strong

interpersonal skills
