Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial function on a -30 million industrial development based in Staffordshire. This is a pivotal opportunity with a Tier 1 main contractor, delivering a flagship scheme within the industrial and logistics sector.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in managing large-scale construction projects, excellent contractual knowledge, and the confidence to lead commercial strategy on site while mentoring junior members of the team.

• Take full commercial ownership of the -30m project from pre-construction through to final account

• Prepare and manage accurate cost reports, CVRs, cash flows, and forecasts

• Oversee procurement, negotiation, and administration of subcontract packages

• Lead monthly valuations, variations, and final accounts

• Ensure compliance with NEC or JCT contract forms as appropriate

• Work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to ensure successful delivery

• Develop and maintain relationships with client and consultant teams

• Provide leadership and mentoring to Assistant/Intermediate QS staff

• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (HNC/HND with extensive experience considered)

• 6+ years'' experience with a main contractor in the UK construction industry

• Strong track record on industrial or commercial projects valued -20m+

• In-depth knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts

• High-level reporting and analytical skills, with strong commercial acumen

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership capabilities

• Proficient in commercial software such as COINS, Excel, or similar

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to be site-based in Staffordshire

• Salary: -70,000 - -75,000 (depending on experience)
