Glan Rhyd Surgery is situated in Blaenau Gwent. We currently have a varied skill mix in practice which consists of:-3 GP PartnersAdvanced Nurse Practitioner3 x Practice Nurses2 x HCSWAll supported with a management team of 2, 7 administrators and 8 reception staff.We are a training practice for GP''s and actively involved in new initiatives. More recently, we have access to Wellbeing coaches with a direct referral from practice.We have direct access to a First Contact Physiotherapist, Advanced Paramedics for home visits and a Psychological Health Practitioner as part of the borough initiatives.Job responsibilities

A Salaried GP works as an autonomous practitioner, responsible forthe provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering anexcellent standard of clinical care while complying with the contract.Furthermore, the post-holder willadhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to theeffective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining apositive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.The role of a GP is also to support, mentor, andsupervise other healthcare professionals within the organisation and be anintegral part of the general practice team.Person Specification
