Murphy is recruiting for a
Senior Quantity Surveyor to work with
Natural Resources
based at Stone Cross with travel to Leeds and travel to site based in Kings Lynn (2 Weeks travel in every month) .We maintain, operate, modify, design, construct and commission new energy networks and facilities across four countries; guiding our customers through the challenges of the energy transition and supporting their commitments to achieve net zero emissions. We provide safe and reliable specialist services as a trusted Engineering, Procure, Fabrication, Maintain and Decommissioning (EPFCMandD) partner. This includes work with onshore and offshore oil, gas pipelines, gas diversions and renewable energies.A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Quantity SurveyorEnsure the site team adheres to group procedures and governanceManagementof internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be requiredPreparation of Valuations/Applications for Payment with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contractOversee Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentationManagement of subcontract and material procurement schedulesAdministration of subcontractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreement of final accountsUndertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registersIdentifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and changeUse the cost allocation/coding which satisfies both internal and external requirementsMeasurement of quantities in accordance with the standard methods of measurement as required
