Job Title:          Neighbourhood Officer
Type:                  Permanent, Full-time
Location:         Monmouthshire (with flexible working)
Salary:              Band 5.1 £29,938.88 – £31,514.61
Hours:               37 hours per week
  
BRC are working closely with a leading housing association to recruit a proactive and customer-focused Neighbourhood Officer.
  
This role involves delivering a high-quality neighbourhood management service to create sustainable tenancies and thriving communities, while ensuring estates are maintained to a high standard.
  
Duties:

• Take ownership of all enquiries, identify customer needs, and offer effective solutions.
• Proactively manage low-level anti-social behaviour in line with policies and procedures.
• Deliver effective tenancy management, including successions, transfers, and legal action where appropriate.
• Work closely with the income team to support “Rent First” objectives.
• Develop neighbourhood plans, identify areas for environmental improvement, and undertake tenancy health checks.
• Maintain safe, clean, and welcoming neighbourhoods and estates.

  
Requirements:

• GCSE English & Maths Grade C or above (or equivalent) and Level 3 Housing qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
• Good knowledge and experience of Renting Homes (Wales) 2016 legislation and neighbourhood management.
• Experience in delivering a responsive frontline housing service and managing a busy caseload.
• Skilled in multi-agency working to resolve issues in a person-centred way.
• Ability to use a coaching approach to support tenants in maintaining their homes.
• Strong problem-solving, creative thinking, and workload prioritisation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to new systems.
• Full driving licence and use of a car.
• Ability to speak Welsh (desirable).
