Sheridan Maine is looking for a Senior Accountant to join a growing accountancy practice in Kent. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio and play a key part in delivering high-quality accounting services.

You will be responsible for managing client relationships, preparing accounts, and supporting junior team members.

Key responsibilities as Senior Accountant:

- Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
- Oversee bookkeeping and VAT returns.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact.
- Provide support and guidance to junior staff members.
- Liaise with HMRC and other external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards.

- Assist with client onboarding and practice development initiatives.

The successful Senior Accountant must possess:

- ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and team player mindset.
- 2+ years of experience in a UK practice.
