This is a leadership position focused on strategic and operational decision-making within the Division, driving innovation and transformation to embed best practice and improve patient pathways.Responsibilities

Support the Head of Nursing Family Health in strategic and operational decision-making, working collaboratively across UHN.Embed best practice and improve patient pathways; develop and empower teams to excel in emergency care delivery.Ensure delivery of clinical quality standards, patient safety, and overall patient experience in the Division; provide professional leadership, advice, and support to ensure consistency of practice and high standards of care with a strong patient safety focus.Support the Division Triumvirate with professional leadership management of the Nursing service for the Division.Lead the development of nursing policy and processes to maximise opportunities through co-design, introduction of new care models, and empowerment of service users and carers.Act as Trust-wide representative for nursing and as an ambassador of UHN as appropriate.Utilise all forms of communication to ensure effective dissemination of local and national information to all nurses and interpret new information for implementation into clinical practice.Communicate highly complex information to Executives and the Board; present information to large groups with tact and diplomacy.Maintain confidential patient and staff information and ensure effective storage of staff records.Qualifications / Requirements

Significant experience as a nursing leader with a proven track record in Family Health and service improvements.Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills; a commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and staff development.Ability to work under pressure, make sound clinical and operational decisions, and drive continuous improvement.Experience managing a large nursing workforce (registered and unregistered) and working across multiple sites when required.Capability to collaborate with stakeholders and external agencies and to engage in large-scale service change if needed.About the Trust
