A leading UK contractor is looking for an experienced Design Manager to take the lead on design coordination across a range of mid to large-scale construction projects.

You’ll be responsible for managing the design process from tender through to delivery, ensuring solutions are safe, buildable, and commercially viable. This role offers the chance to influence key decisions, work closely with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to the success of high-profile schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage design delivery for projects allocated 

• Coordinate consultants, supply chain, and internal teams.

• Embed safety through design in line with CDM regulations.

• Lead design reviews, identify risks, and drive value engineering.

• Ensure change control and compliance with client requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in design management within construction.

• Strong knowledge of technical standards and buildability.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• Degree or HNC/HND in a relevant discipline.

• Professional membership (e.g. CIOB, ICE, CIAT) desirable.
