Mechanical Project Manager

Location: Ayrshire, Scotland
Salary: -55,000 - -65,000 (depending on experience)

A well-established building services contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the delivery of mechanical (M&E) projects across Ayrshire and the surrounding areas. This role involves managing mechanical packages across a diverse range of sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare, and education developments.

You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while contributing to the delivery of energy-efficient and low-carbon building solutions.

• Manage mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion

• Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and industry regulations

• Monitor project programmes, budgets, and resource allocation

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders

• Provide technical expertise on mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems

• Support the integration of renewable and energy-efficient technologies

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the construction or building services industry

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, heating, plumbing)

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

• Relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g. HNC/HND, SVQ, or equivalent)

• SMSTS or equivalent health & safety certification (preferred)

• Competitive salary of -55,000 - -65,000
