Location: Ayrshire, Scotland
Salary: -55,000 - -65,000 (depending on experience)
About the Role
A leading building services contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects across Scotland. This role will focus on managing electrical packages within a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare, and education developments.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards, while supporting the transition to energy-efficient and low-carbon building solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical projects from initial planning through to completion
- Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and industry standards
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Provide technical guidance on electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and renewable integration
- Support the implementation of energy-efficient and sustainable solutions
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within the construction or building services sector
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and M&E installations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. HNC/HND, SVQ, or equivalent)
- SMSTS or equivalent health & safety certification (preferred)
