Role: Head of Operations
Salary: -55,000 - -60,000 (circa. -85,000 OTE)
Location: Leeds

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for all operational activities, including warehousing, distribution, strategy, continuous improvement and projects.
• Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing, collective site operational team (up to 75+ employees) through managerial & operational leads as direct reports.
• Client Relationships: Build and maintain an already impressive, strong customer relationship base, ensuring ongoing satisfaction.
• Commercial Responsibility & Budget Management: Develop and manage the operational site budget, ensuring financial objectives are achieved while maintaining service & quality.
• Performance Metrics: Continue to evolve the organisational approach to KPI''s, whilst ensuring existing and new site standardisation.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practice.
• Process Optimisation: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Innovation: Support the business appetite to drive innovation, along with the adoption of new technologies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Supplier Relationships: Manage UK commercial relationships with customers, suppliers and third-party service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective services.

The Candidate

The successful candidate for the Head of Operations role will have the following skills & experiences:

• A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background (Ideally at a Head of Operations / Site General Manager level) - Essential.
• 5+ Years proven Operations / Site / General Management leadership experience across Warehouse operations - Essential.
• Previous budgetary responsibility across medium sized DC operations in excess of +-15m - Essential.
• A sector background within; FMCG, Food, Retail, E-Commerce - Advantageous but not essential.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams - Essential.
• Prior commercial knowledge of the UK logistics and warehousing market - Essential.
• An individual truly excited by large scale growth challenges - Essential.
• Commutable to the Leeds area - Essential.
