We are recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing specialist contractor in the fire protection industry, known for quality and compliance. Due to growth, we seek an experienced Contracts/Project Manager with expertise in Passive Fire Protection to oversee nationwide fire door surveying. As a Project/Contracts Manager, you will manage the full lifecycle of passive fire protection surveying—including firestopping, compartmentation, and fire door surveys. You will ensure quality standards, health and safety compliance, and client satisfaction, managing on-site teams and maintaining third-party accreditations (FIRAS, BM TRADA). This role requires hands-on knowledge of passive fire systems and strong leadership skills to liaise effectively with clients.Key Responsibilities:End-to-end project management of Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) remedial worksConducting site surveys, measurements, and preparing job-specific quotationsBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, tenants, and representativesCreating and managing weekly work schedules; allocating jobs to operativesSupervising operatives on-site, including conducting monthly audits (PPE, tools, site condition)Reporting and recording near misses, incidents, raising NCRs as neededMonthly inspection of fire doors (visual and intrusive) in residential and commercial settingsProviding detailed surveys and recommendations for door upgrades and compartmentation worksEnsuring compliance with all third-party certification and Health and Safety standardsCandidate Profile:Essential:Proven contracts/project management experience in passive fire protection surveying (firestopping, joinery, or compartmentation)Experience working with a certified passive fire contractorStrong understanding of fire safety regulations and third-party schemes (e.g., FIRAS, BM TRADA)Skilled in managing multiple sites and teamsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFull UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel nationwideDesirable:Recognized industry qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, SSSTS, NVQ in Passive Fire Protection)Holding or working towards third-party accreditations (FIRAS, BM TRADA, or equivalent)Experience with digital reporting or project management toolsWhat We Offer:Competitive salary with negotiable terms based on experiencePermanent, full-time position with a growing, reputable contractorAnnual company performance bonus schemePension schemeExpenses paid for overnight stays and travelCareer progression and training opportunitiesCompany vehicle or car allowanceSupportive team environmentIf you are an experienced Passive Fire Protection Contracts/Project Manager looking to advance your career, we would love to hear from you.
