Flexible Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant – Poole

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and compassionate Supply SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to work across various welcoming mainstream primary schools in the Poole area. Starting this September, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the flexibility of supply work.
About the Role
Step into a rewarding position where you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils with diverse learning needs. As a Supply SEN TA, your responsibilities may include:
- Providing tailored 1:1 or small group support to children with special educational needs.
- Assisting class teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons.
- Helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
- Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and emotional or behavioural challenges.
- Collaborating with school staff to ensure a positive and productive classroom experience.
What We’re Looking in SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN in any capacity (e.g., support worker, youth mentor, nursery practitioner, childminder, etc.).
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to adapt to different school settings.
- Ability to drive or use public transport to travel to schools across Poole.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
