Architectural Technologist

Location: West Sussex

Salary: -34-40,000 (dependent on experience)

An established and award-winning architectural practice is seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist to join its West Sussex studio on a full-time basis. With a strong reputation for delivering innovative design solutions across the residential, retrofit, cladding remediation, and healthcare sectors, this is a unique opportunity to become part of a collaborative and experienced team.

The role involves taking responsibility for the technical delivery of projects from early design stages through to completion. The Architectural Technologist will play a key role in developing detailed design packages, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with UK regulations and best practice construction standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications across all RIBA stages

• Coordinate design information with internal teams and external consultants

• Ensure all work complies with current UK Building Regulations and industry standards

• Work within a BIM environment using Revit to support project delivery

• Prepare and review construction documentation, submittals, and technical reports

• Contribute to on-site inspections and contract administration activities

• Support a range of projects, particularly in the residential, healthcare, and retrofit sectors

Key Requirements

• Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent qualification

• Sufficient experience in a similar role within the UK architecture industry

• Strong technical detailing and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Revit and a sound understanding of BIM workflows

• Solid knowledge of UK planning, building regulations, and construction methods

• Excellent organisational and communication skills

• Experience in cladding remediation and healthcare projects is highly advantageous
