Architectural Technologist

Location: West Sussex

Salary: -34-40,000 (dependent on experience)

An award-winning and well-established architectural practice is looking for a skilled Architectural Technologist to join its collaborative West Sussex studio on a full-time basis. With a strong reputation for delivering innovative, technically driven solutions across residential, retrofit, cladding remediation, and healthcare sectors, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a respected and experienced team.

The successful candidate will take a key role in the technical delivery of projects - from early design development through to completion. You''ll be responsible for producing detailed design packages, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with UK regulations and best practice standards.

• Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications across all RIBA stages

• Coordinate design information with internal teams and external consultants

• Ensure compliance with current UK Building Regulations and industry best practice

• Work in a BIM environment using Revit to support project delivery

• Prepare and review construction documentation, submittals, and technical reports

• Participate in site inspections and contract administration tasks

• Support a diverse portfolio, particularly in residential, healthcare, and retrofit sectors

• Degree or an HNC/HND in Architectural Technology o

• UK-based experience in a similar role

• Strong detailing and technical problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Revit and good understanding of BIM workflows

• Solid knowledge of UK planning policy, building regs and construction methods

• Clear communicator with strong organisational skills

• Experience in cladding remediation and/or healthcare projects is a strong advantage
