As an Associate, Technology Operations Engineering, you will be essential in providing enterprise services to ensure high levels of product availability for the customers and partners of American Express.Responsibilities

Support in monitoring the performance and availability of technology systems and applications, and perform routine maintenance tasks including system updates and backups with guidance from peers and leadersRespond to service requests and incidents and provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issuesComplete the onboarding of new domains with guidance from peers and leadersComplete the management and maintenance of network infrastructure with guidance from peers and leadersMonitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues and support the implementation of network security measuresMaintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, and generate reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutionsComplete operational policies and procedures for new technologies, with guidance from peers and leadersCollaborate and co-create effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectivesImplement resiliency standards, tooling, and best practicesReview incident trends and conduct root cause analysis to implement permanent resolutions and mitigate future failuresMinimum Qualifications

Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or comparable experience. 5+ years of varied experience in software engineering or service delivery.Knowledge of network protocols and technologiesKnowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasksExperience in cloud administration, IT asset management and automation tools and/or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) in a technology or financial services organizationExperience in system administration, network configuration, and troubleshootingExperience in technology operations work on a wide range of applicationsExperience in managing and troubleshooting technology infrastructure and services, including servers, networks, and cloud servicesExperience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google CloudProficient verbal and written communication skillsSoft skills - analytical thinking, curiosity, continuous learning and improvement attitudePreferred Qualifications

Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ is a plusPublic Cloud certification is a plusDevOps knowledge for highly available IT infrastructureExperience in designing and coding for automation and troubleshooting purposes across multiple platforms and languages such as Java, HTML5, JavaScript, and .NETBuilding live production APIs and servicesHands-on expertise with application design, software development and automated testingExperience with relevant business domain related functionsSeniority level
